Call Forwarding Setup Guide

Call Forwarding Setup Guide

Welcome! This guide walks you through setting up call forwarding from your personal phone—, whether it's a mobile device or landline—, to your Mastermind phone number. This ensures you can take full advantage of your platform's voice features without changing your existing number on websites, business cards, or directories.

Why Forward Calls to Mastermind?

  • Keep Your Branded Number: Stay consistent with the number your customers already know.
  • Centralized Management: Route all calls to one place for better tracking and performance.

How It Works

Once call forwarding is set up, all or missed calls made to your personal phone are redirected to your Mastermind phone number. From there, calls are handled using the platform's Voice AI tools.

FAQs

Question: Can I forward multiple numbers to my Mastermind number?

Answer: Yes. As long as each phone line supports forwarding, you can set this up on all of them.

Question: Will callers know their call is being forwarded?

Answer: No, forwarding happens in the background. Callers will not be notified.

Question: Can I still use my number to make calls?

Answer: Yes. Forwarding only impacts incoming calls.

Question: Does this work internationally?

Answer: It depends on your carrier. Contact them to check if international forwarding is supported.

Question: Will voicemail be affected?

Answer: If the call is forwarded, your Mastermind number will handle voicemail unless otherwise configured.

Question: What happens if I don't receive the confirmation tone after setting up call forwarding?

Answer: If you don’t hear the confirmation tone after dialing the required code, it typically means that call forwarding has not been successfully activated. Double-check the code you entered and try again. If issues persist, contact your carrier for assistance.

Question: Can I change the forwarding number after setting it up?

Answer: Yes. Simply enter the new Mastermind number using the call forwarding setup code for your carrier.

Question: What happens if I have "Do Not Disturb" active on my personal phone?

Answer: If you have set up "Conditional Forwarding" (Missed/Busy/Unreachable), and your phone is on Do Not Disturb or turned off, the call will immediately forward to your Mastermind number, allowing the Voice AI to take over instantly.

Question: What are the primary benefits of routing my calls through the Mastermind platform?

Answer: Forwarding your calls allows you to maintain your consistent branded number while gaining access to advanced features such as AI-powered call handling, automated transcriptions, and centralized management for better performance tracking.
