FAQ:

Question: How does the SMS verification process work in forms and surveys?

Answer: When users enter their phone number in a designated field, they can click the "Verify Phone" button to receive a verification code via SMS. They need to enter this code back into the form or survey to confirm their phone number.

Question: What happens if the verification code is not entered or entered incorrectly?

Answer: If the verification code is not entered or entered incorrectly, the phone number will not be marked as verified. Users can request a new code if needed.

Question: How is the verified phone number indicated in submissions?

Answer: The submissions will include a "Phone Verified" field. Successfully verified phone numbers will display “Yes” in this field, ensuring clear identification of verified data.

Question: Are there additional costs associated with OTP messages?

Answer: Yes, OTP messages sent during the SMS verification process are billed separately. This cost is associated with delivering the verification codes to users via SMS.

Question: Can this feature be disabled for specific forms or surveys?

Answer: Yes, SMS verification can be toggled on or off for specific forms or surveys within the form/survey builder. This allows flexibility based on the specific data collection needs.

Question: How is the verification process user-friendly?

Answer: The “Verify Phone” button appears dynamically when a valid number is entered, and the process guides users step-by-step, making it seamless to complete verification.

Question: What if a contact is already in my system with a verified number? Do they have to verify again?

Answer: If you have enabled the verification toggle on a specific form, the user will be asked to verify their number for that submission, even if they are an existing contact. This ensures that the person currently filling out the form is the actual owner of that phone number.

Question: If a user clicks "Verify Phone" multiple times, am I charged for each text?

Answer: Yes. Every time the "Resend Code" or "Verify Phone" button is clicked and an SMS is successfully sent, it counts as a billable event. To prevent excessive costs, the system has built-in "rate-limiting" to stop users from spamming the button.
