Resending Product Credentials

In this article we’ll go over how to resend product credentials. This can be done a few different ways.

Step 1:

  • Navigate to your contact record in question
  • Find the email that went out with the membership credentials
  • Retry if the email failed, or copy and paste the information to send to the user directly

Step 2: Resetting and Resending

  • Navigate to your contact record in question
  • Scroll down on the left-hand side of the contact
  • Select “Change Password”
  • Here, you can create a new password and either copy and send that manually or send an email notification of the change.
  • You can also send the password reset link to the client so they can reset it on their end.

Automated Resending Membership Credentials

  • Automated Resending: You can automate the process of resending membership credentials by using a Workflow with the "Send Membership Welcome Email" action or by setting up a trigger for "Offer Granted." This allows you to automatically resend the welcome email without needing to manually initiate the process.

Quick Resend via Offers Tab

  • Resend via Offers Tab: To quickly resend membership credentials, navigate to the Offers tab within the contact record. Click the Resend button next to the specific offer. This provides an easy and efficient way to resend credentials.

Communities vs. Memberships

  • Communities vs. Memberships: It's important to distinguish between Communities and Memberships. Resetting a password in the Community groups section is different from resending a Membership offer welcome email. Ensure that you are following the correct steps for each.

Client Portal Password Reset

  • Client Portal Password Reset: If you are using the Client Portal, users can also use the "Forgot Password" link on your portal login page to trigger a reset email automatically. This offers a self-service option for users to reset their passwords.

Common Method to Resend Membership Credentials

Common Manual Resend Method: The most common way to manually resend membership credentials is via the "Offers" tab on the right side of the contact record, rather than just searching through the email history. This is the easiest and most direct way to resend credentials.
