Forms Builder - Terms and Conditions Element

Key Features & Benefits:

1. Two Separate T&Cs for Clearer Consent:

  • Transactional Messages: Users opt in for notifications like appointment reminders, order confirmations, and account updates.
  • Promotional Messages: Separate opt-in for marketing messages, special offers, and product updates.
  • Independent Opt-in: Each consent option has its own checkbox for transparency and flexibility.

2. Editable T&C Content: Modify both Transactional and Promotional T&C text directly in the form editor to align with compliance and business needs.

3. Auto-Addition with Phone Element: When adding the Phone element, both Transactional and Promotional T&Cs are automatically included.

  • Standalone T&C additions allow users to choose either one or both from the right-side panel.

4. Submission Recording for Compliance: Consent choices recorded in the "Terms & Conditions" column in the submission table.

  • If both selected: "Transactional; Promotional"
  • If only one selected: "Transactional" or "Promotional"
  • If none selected: The field remains empty.

Step 1: Adding and Customizing the T & C element

  • Open the Form Builder by navigating to Sites > Forms > Builder

  • Locate the Terms and Conditions field within the form builder options. Simply click and drag the element to the desired position within your form.


Step 2: Customizing the Terms and Conditions Field

  • Edit the text as needed.

  • You can also hyperlink a portion of the text to send your users to another site.

  • Save your form.
  • You will also see this in submissions after a contact submits the form.


Note: If you add a phone field to your form, the Terms and Conditions field will be automatically added, simplifying the process and ensuring that legal consent is obtained when collecting phone information.


Please Note:

  • Compliant Message: The default message asks for user-specific consent for using their contact number and complies with A2P regulations.
  • Text Elements: Separate text elements containing links to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service will be automatically included when a phone element is added to the Form/Survey Builder.
