Setting Time Zones

How the Business Hub Uses Time Zones

The Hub uses time zones in several important ways:

  • Campaign Timing: Time zones help determine when your marketing campaigns are sent out.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Your calendar appointments are scheduled based on the time zone you set.
  • Other Features: Various other features also rely on the correct time zone setting.

Setting Up Your Time Zone

  • Location Time Zone: Make sure your location's time zone is correctly set in Settings > Business Profile.

  • User Time Zone: You can set your personal time zone in Settings > My Profile.

  • Why It Matters: Setting the right time zone ensures everything runs smoothly and on time.

Notes:

  • Calendars: The time zone in your account affects all events scheduled in your calendar, including appointments and meetings. Make sure the time zone reflects your actual location to prevent any scheduling conflicts.
  • Workflows: Time-sensitive workflows, such as automated messages or follow-up tasks, rely on the time zone set in your profile. Accurate time zone settings are crucial for ensuring that these workflows execute at the correct times.

FAQ

Question: Why is it important to set the correct time zone in my account?

Answer: The correct time zone ensures that all time-related activities, such as campaign scheduling, appointment bookings, and workflow triggers, are accurate and aligned with your location. This helps avoid confusion and ensures that events happen at the intended times.

Question: How do time zones affect my calendar?

Answer: The time zone set in your profile directly impacts your calendar. All appointments, reminders, and events will be scheduled based on this time zone, ensuring consistency across all your scheduled activities.

Question: How do time zones influence workflows?

Answer: Workflows that include time-based triggers or actions (e.g., sending a follow-up email after a specific time) will operate according to the time zone you’ve set. This ensures that your automated processes run at the correct times relative to your location.

Question: Will changing my time zone affect existing appointments and workflows?

Answer: Changing your time zone will adjust the timing of future appointments and workflows. Existing events may shift based on the new time zone, so review critical schedules after making changes.

Question: Why are my appointment reminders going out at the wrong time?

Answer: This is usually caused by a mismatch between the Calendar's specific time zone and the Business Profile time zone. If you have multiple calendars, verify that each one is set to the correct region, as individual calendar settings can sometimes override general account defaults.

Question: In what specific ways does Mastermind use my time zone settings?

Answer: Time zones are used to determine Campaign Timing (when marketing is sent), Appointment Scheduling (calendar accuracy), and the execution of various other time-sensitive features.

Question: What is the difference between the "Business Profile" time zone and "My Profile" time zone?

Answer: The Business Profile time zone (found in Settings) sets the default for the entire location, affecting shared calendars and general automated workflows. The My Profile time zone is specific to your user login; it ensures that when you view the calendar or your task list, the times are displayed according to your local current time, even if the business is headquartered in a different region.
