How to Export Contacts from Mailchimp

Exporting your contacts from Mailchimp is an essential step for managing your audience data, allowing you to analyze, share, or back up your information. This guide will walk you through the process of exporting your entire audience quickly and efficiently.
Step 1: Access Your Audience
- Log in to Your Mailchimp Account:
- Begin by logging into your Mailchimp account using your credentials.
- Navigate to the Audience Section:
- Click on the Audience tab from the main dashboard.
- Select All Contacts:
- In the Audience section, click on All Contacts to view your entire list of contacts.
Step 2: Export Your Audience
- Initiate the Export:
- Locate and click the Export Audience button, which can be found within the All Contacts view.
- Confirm the Export:
- A pop-up window titled Export all contacts? will appear.
- Click Confirm export to begin the export process.
- Monitor the Export Progress:
- After confirming, an Export started pop-up will appear.
- Click View exports to monitor the progress of your export.
Step 3: Download the Exported File
- Complete the Export:
- Once the export process is complete, you’ll see the export listed under Audience exports.
- Download the File:
- Click Export As CSV to download the exported contacts file to your computer.

- CSV Format: The exported file will be in CSV format, which is compatible with most spreadsheet applications, making it easy to analyze and share your data.

To view or export your entire audience, follow these steps.
Click Audience, then click All contacts and Click Export audience.
- In the Export all contacts? pop-up, click Confirm export.
- In the Export started pop-up, click View exports.
After the export completes, click Export As CSV to download the file to your computer.
