Community Importer for Skool (Group & Post Importer)

Administrators can quickly and efficiently import both members and posts from their Skool groups into Mastermind Communities. In this article, we’ll explore how the Skool Importer works, its key features, and provide step-by-step guidance on how to use it for an ideal transition.

Key Features and Benefits

  1. Easy Migration: The Skool Importer refines the process of transferring your community by enabling the import of members and posts with just a few simple steps. No need for complex manual data entry or third-party tools.
  2. Real-Time Stats: The system provides real-time updates on how many members have been successfully imported, along with a count of members who may not have been imported, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
  3. Seamless Community Experience: Post-import, members will find themselves in the same community space within Mastermind, with all their interactions intact, ensuring continuity for your community’s engagement.
  4. Admin Control: You’ll have full control over missing or incomplete data. If any emails are missing or inaccurate, the system will notify you to allow for necessary corrections.

How to Use the Skool Importer

Step 1: Enter Group Details To begin the import process, you’ll need to provide some key details:

  • Skool Group Slug: This is a unique identifier for your Skool group.
  • Admin Email and Password: These credentials will authenticate and allow the system to access your Skool account.

Once these details are entered, you’ll be ready to move on to the next step.

Step 2: Start Importing Members Click the Continue button to begin fetching member data from your Skool group. The system will start collecting all relevant information about your group members, including their profiles and contact details.

Step 3: Download and Prepare the CSV The system will generate a CSV file that includes:

  • Profile Slug
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email (Note: some emails may be missing)

It’s important to review and ensure all email addresses are complete before continuing. Missing email addresses must be filled in by the admin to ensure successful member import.

Step 4: Upload the Updated CSV After completing the CSV file, upload it to the system. The platform will:

  • Fetch and import members into your Mastermind Community group.
  • Display the total number of members imported and notify you of any members who were not successfully imported.

Step 5: Import Skool Posts Once the members have been imported, you can proceed to import posts made by community members. These posts will appear in your Mastermind Community group, ensuring that all valuable content remains intact and accessible to members.

Note: Pro Tips for Successful Import

  • Verify Admin Credentials: Before starting the process, double-check that the admin credentials provided are correct and have the necessary permissions to access the group data.
  • Prepare for Missing Emails: Some member emails may not be included in the import. It’s a good idea to clean up your member list beforehand, ensuring that all emails are valid and complete.
  • Review the Imported Posts: While importing posts, take a moment to check that everything has been properly transferred, including formatting and content.
