Use Physical Deskphones linked to Mastermind (SIP Endpoints)
Welcome to this guide on using a physical deskphone integrated with Mastermind system via SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) endpoints. This powerful feature allows you to manage all your calls—outbound, inbound, and transfers—through your deskphone, ensuring seamless tracking, recording, and automation. Let’s walk you through how to set this up and make the most of it!
What’s New?
You can use a VoIP deskphone that's always connected to the Mastermind system. This integration allows you to:
- Make and receive calls directly from your deskphone.
- Perform blind transfers to your team members.
Use call recording and transcription for easier management of calls.
How to Set Up Your VoIP Deskphone
Follow these simple steps to connect your deskphone to your Mastermind system:
1- Navigate to the Settings:
- Go to Settings > Phone Numbers > Advanced Settings > VoIP Deskphone (SIP).
2- Configure Your SIP User and Device:
- Create a SIP user by setting up an extension/username and password.
- Ensure this user is linked to a Mastermind user (one deskphone per Mastermind user). If needed, create the user first.
3- Test Your Deskphone:
- After setting it up, perform both an outbound test call and inbound test call to confirm everything works as expected.
4- Manage SIP Devices:
If needed, you can reset a password, delete a deskphone, or add another phone via the Manage Devices section in the advanced settings.
